Dr. Bravman founded the Cape Cod practice in 1983 upon completion of his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Tufts University New England Medical Center, and affiliated hospitals -- Boston City Hospital, Boston V.A., Boston University Medical Center Hospital. He graduated from Clark University with a B.A. in Biology, New York University with an M.S. in Basic Medical Science, Microbiology, and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. with honors(Cum Laude). Dr. Bravman has taught Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residents for 33 years, first on the staff of Tufts University and then as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine until 2016. Dr. Bravman maintains active clinical privileges at Cape Cod Hospital.
Dr. Bravman is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the Massachusetts Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Cape Cod District Dental Society.
Dr. Bravman has been an active participant in Cape Cod Hospital medical staff and Board of Trustee Committees for many years. He served as Chief of Staff, president of the medical staff, at Cape Cod Hospital 1994-1996.
Dr. Bravman’s special clinical interests include dental implants and bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery and anesthesia.
